Eimear Duggan, Founder & CEO

Travel, design, and making connections with locals inspired the creation of Hummingbird Designs.  

Eimear Duggan has travelled extensively around the globe and lived in Ireland, France, Spain, Germany, and the United States, before ultimately making Canada home. 

A nomad at heart, with a penchant for slow travel, Eimear has deep roots in the luxury travel industry.  Years of on the ground R&D and first hand experiences with many of the world’s finest properties, leading restaurants, design-forward buildings and local artists & craftspeople, led to a profound appreciation of interior design.  

Eimear is a member of IDC (Interior Designers of Canada). She is a graduate of Yorkville University (Associate Diploma in Interior Decorating), the Art Institute of Canada (Residential Interior Design program), and Certified Staging Professionals, Canada. 

Eimear’s design experience is varied, extending from Europe to North America and from historical residential restoration in Spain to work on modern residential and commercial properties in Canada.
 

She has over 20 years of experience in project management, operations, planning, and logistics, and has worked with the most discerning of clientele. 

When not at her design desk or on site, you can typically find her on the trails with her dogs or coming up with an elaborate meal plan for a soirée intime with friends.
